Our Practice

Cahaba Psychology Center has been serving the Central Alabama region since 1998. We are located in Hoover, Alabama near Highway 31 in the Riverchase area. Situated near the banks of a small lake, our location affords a peaceful area to await your appointment or to collect your thoughts.

Patricia Jolly-Fleece, Ph.D., Emerita
– Dr. Jolly-Fleece retired from clinical practice in 2024 after a long an distinguished career specializing in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders and teaching behavior therapy and cognitive behavior therapy at UAB.
Gayle S. Janzen, Ph.D., Emerita
– Dr. Janzen retired from clinical practice in 2022 after a long and distinguished career specializing in treating eating disorders, adult survivors of sexual abuse, grief, and women’s issues.

Mark H. Burge, Ph.D.

Dr. Burge completed his undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky and obtained his doctorate at Saint Louis University. His internship was through the University of Alabama-Birmingham consortium. Dr. Burge is a licensed psychologist who has practiced in Birmingham since 1996. His career has spanned agency services such as Bryce Hospital and the Alabama Department of Youth Services, as well as private practice to the general population. He works with children, adolescents, families, and individual adults. He has a clinical focus on disruptive behavior disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, self-injury, anxiety disorders, family therapy, and marital/relationship problems.

Thomas Hunt-Felke, Ph.D.

Dr. Thomas Hunt-Felke completed his undergraduate work at Arizona State University, and his graduate work in clinical Psychology at the Fuller School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. He completed his pre-doctoral internship doing in-home family therapy to help children with severe mental health problems remain with their parents/caregivers rather than require long inpatient treatment. He did post-doctoral work in assessment, including vocational rehabilitation, ADHD, learning disability, and autism assessment.

He currently specializes in assessment of ADHD, autism, and other mental health conditions, as well as therapy for ADHD and autism across the lifespan. He also specializes in treating anxiety disorders, which often accompany ADHD and autism. He lives in Hoover with his wife and two children. He enjoys swimming, reading books, video and board games, and going on bike and scooter riding adventures with his young girls.
